The Sound Of Music Dallas Theatre reviews
Funny!
On the morning of this show, a good friend of mine (and others) died of stomach cancer. They took out his pancreatic cancer, then 19 months later he developed stomach cancer. My birthday would be in a few days (the 14th), the show was on the 11th. The Sound Of Music made me laugh, and unfortunately, the reason I was able to laugh was because of all his routines, but his wife recently had a brain tumor removed and his comedic insights about drs, hospitals, his kids, etc., were ok to laugh at. I still remember one of his former dvds where he says everyone dies of cancer eventually. "Hey, fella, my wife was hit by a bus!" :( "Yeah, that's called 'bus cancer' ". :) I hate cancer. The Sound Of Music, thanks for making me laugh, not as much as if my friend was cured, but some good, regular laughing. So today is my birthday. I'm 58 years old. Oh, and P.S. thank goodness there was a jumbo-tron or I wouldn't have been able to see his facial expressions! I'm leaving work early so I can go take a good long nap.
